How do I shoot out the tyres on the car in the mission where you are told how to use a gun by slink. IT always says "you did not follow slink's instructions"

Please help if you can :).

If it is the one where you are standing useing the m16 you have to push the manul aim button it will zoom in really close and the joy stick won't be as touchy as in the other aim mode I think it is the white or black button I forget which one it's been awhile def white or black
