I also tried drifting and it's very hard to do. Lots of power and very high gearing are needed in the first two gears. I tried all the typical drifting cars, but I found that a 4 wheel drive car is actually the best when as much of the power is transfered to the rear wheels. Also get the economy tires for the rear (they are free by the way) and lighten the car. Stiffen the suspension and get NOs. Keep the revs high and have fun. A Skyline is good, I drifted a Tommy ZZII, but that is difficult and I want to try a Dodge Ram:). Mini Autum Ring is a great place to learn. By the way, drifting is the most inefficient way to race.
