I don't know if this has been asked before, if it has, sorry for the repeat. I changed one of my community lots into a residential lot (using the changelotzoning cheat). When I tried to move my family in and load the lot, the family icon is grey and I can't click on it. It's almost like when you are building a house on a lot with no family. In the neighborhood screen, it says that the family is there, but when the lot is loaded, they're nowhere to be found. Please help!

Try moving them out and in again.

This is the sort of glitch that can occur from using too many cheats.

My sim just gave birth to twins. I didnt realise that was possible, I thought it was only one baby at a time.

I think they can only have twins.
I've never seen or heard of sim triplets plus.

Sims do sometimes randomly give birth to twins but it is very rare. There is a cheat for it but I have never been able to have more than two before.

Yea, I think it's only possible to have twins cause thats what I had.

You can have triplets. My sim did it once. I don't know if there is a cheat that you can use to get that...I did not use a cheat. She actually had identical twin girls and a boy. Shocked me when she just kept having babies one after the other!!

I have a big family and keeping up a good relationship with each family member is hard. Does anyone know a cheat code that will allow me to automatically make my Sim friendly with anyone or everyone? I think I accidently did it once before when I was first testing out Boolprop but I honestly don't know what I did. Can anyone help?

If you enter boolprop testingcheatsenabled true (followed by move_objects on I think) in the neighbourhood view, you can just drag up relationship bars.

Use boolprop testingcheatsenabled true and then you can move the relationship bars. If the sims you want to make friends with don't live in your house then shift click them and select "make selectable" and then as long as the two sims have made contact with each other you can move the bars on both of the relationships and you have an instant buddy. Theres also a "make freinds with everyone" option when you shift click the mail box but it's kind of annoying because then everyone will call you to remind you to pick up the phone and chat. To bad these don't work in real life....

This may sound weird but when my another sim died from burning I put a new family in the house but the n when my dead sims came out at midnight it was smoking red and it burn my baby in his craddle. Man that was so shocking I delete the ghost urn/tombstone.

Anyways thats probably because the dead sims were angered by the fact that living sims moved into their home, and decided to get revenge.

(How is the sims 2 7+? It's so creepy!)

Whenever a sim dies it has a different shadow so to speak. As your sim died from burning it has a red shadow and will burn things. If your sim dies of old age then it is white, electrocuted blue and so on.

You probably sent it to the wrong folder...and by that I mean if it's hip hop music you have to send it to the hip hop folder in music.

Firstly, it's not a stupid question. Its a question that has been asked before. Secondly, I didn't know you could upload your own music choice to the Sims 2, so I may not be that much help.
But, check that you have followed the instructions COMPLETELY, and that the file is the right kind.

But how would they be able to recognize the music? Like if it was hip hop, pop, etc.

There are two things you could do.

1. Be patient and check the paper and computer every day.
2. Or you could use cheats, don't use it all the time but here it is;
Enter boolprop testingcheatsenabled true into the cheat window and hit
Enter. Then hold shift + left click on the newspaper and select career path or select job (something along those lines) and select job of your choice!

Hope thats useful!

(This might not be helpful but...) Do you still have your diploma? If you went through college but lose your diploma (for example by burning, selling, putting it on a wall and moving), your sim won't be reconized as have been through college, and thus not be offered the "graduate" jobs like artist biochemist-whatever, etc (or so I've read from a very reliable source but haven't tested myself).

Make the adults have jobs.

Well for one you either get a job or use the cheat for it all you do for the cheat is hold ctrl shift and c and a bar will pop up and you enter the code motherlode which will give you 50,000.00 and you can enter it as much as you would like too.

After they have finished you will hear a sound (kind of like a lullaby) and later she will have a bubble over her head that will have a pacifier and question mark in it. Then of course she will get sick later on (that's how you know for sure). Another way to tell is if your Sims are in the bed and the option 'Try for Baby' is no longer ther, she's pregneant.

There will be a small bit of music after a few minutes. And she will get bigger.

After you "try for baby" if it works there will be a little song. Or if you do it in a hot tub you can just keep doing it until it doesn't give you the option "try for baby" anymore.

I have a Sim that recently died 3 days ago of old age. For 2 days the sim PEACFULLY walked around haunting the house ( did not bother anyone, did not wake them, ect.). On the 3rd day as night began to fall scary haunting music began to fill the house.At first it shocked me because I did not know what was going on.

Then I noticed that my Sim came back to haunt us. I thought it was going to leave them alone. I clicked to have my Sim sleep in the room where she died and my Sim woke up and got out of bed and the ghost of her mother scared her purposely. I had my sim sleep downstairs in her brothers room.

I checked upstairs and she beagn to punch her hand like she was going to hurt someone. As I turned the volume up on my computer, I heard her scream Jessica, which is my other sims girlfriend. (may I remind you that my sims girlfriend does not live with us).

The ghost has a bed symbol above her head and I deleted it and bought a new bed but she seems to have the symbol still above her head. Is there anything I can do to make all this stop?? Is this part if the Sims life after death?? Why does she do this?? Please help ASAP.

Thats never happened to me. It sounds really cool though!

To make a ghost stop haunting your house, you have to delete the tombstone/urn. All the dead Sims will come around at some time or another if you still have their tombstones/urns around the house.

Ghost sims are connected to the beds they once owned and the house they once lived in. A ghost becomes angry if someone sleeps in their bed and or if their bed is moved or missing. If you wanted to stop the haunting don't delete the bed. Ghosts also become upset if their grave or urn is moved even if it was sitting in front of the toilet so no one can use the restroom. Lol It seems like your sim attracted the wrath of the ghost by sleeping in the ghost sim's bed.

If a new family moves into a house with ghosts on the lot and no family members of the ghost reside on the lot the ghost will become hostile.

THere is 2 things you can do either delete there Tomestone or you can resorect them with the reserector oh-yeah or you can put up with it! P.S remember you need the Tombstone to Resorect them!

I'm not sure if you can't make stories or if you don't know how, but here's how:

First you take pictures (CButton or Camera Icon), then you can go into story mode (at the bottom left of the screen there is a Book or Pencil Icon), and with each picture you can type a discription along with the photo. You can take neighborhood pictures or live mode pictures.

I have tried a way to get my music onto the Sims game. (There is a way) I just do not know if what I am doing is right. This is something really weird that has happened to me.

Just the other day while I was playing the Sims a screen popped up and said that one of my files was corrupted (something like that), and it turned out to be that the file they were talking about was one of my Sims. The box gave me the option to 'cancel, reset, or delete'. Unfortunately I could not cancel (Whenever I would press the button nothing would happen) and I did not know what exactly 'reset' meant so I had to press delete which deleted my Sim (She was just gone....Non Existence). I wasn't too upset because that particular Sim wasn't that important to me and the next time I played (A few days later) the Sim was there again.

Like I said, it really wasn't that important but I don't want this to happen to any of my other Sims and I'm too scared that they might not reappear.
Has this ever happened to anyone else before and if so, do you know if there is a solution or cause to the problem?
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why this is happening but it has happened to me too. All I know is that when that box appears you must press ' reset '. I've done it a lot of times so far so I know for sure. I didn't know it either but I read it in a site somewhere.

There shouldn't be any problems with Sims popping back up after they've been deleted, reset, or walk off the lot (whitch really freaked me out) all you have to do is leave the house and come back. I think the reset/delete/cancel box comes up because certian cheats are used.

I'm not sure if this can be done but my sim is pregent and I'd like a baby boy is there anyway I can make sure I get a boy and not a girl? Thank you

Well on the third day of your sim's pregnancy save the game. Then when your sim has the baby if it's not a boy, exit the game and try again until you get a boy:D

There isn't any cheat that i've heard of but this is what people have suggested before and it works for me too, before the mom is giving birth (not sure if it will work right at the moment thou ) I usually just save the game maybe like the day shes about to give birth, and when she does have the baby, if you don't like that gender you can just go bk to the neighborhood without saving and then play the family again until you get the gender you want. ** notes: the mom is usually pregnant for 3 days (at least for me it always is) so if you tried for a baby on sunday, she'll get fat monday, get fatter tuesday and wedsday she'll give birth.**

You can't change the gender of a baby unless you download the inSIMenator, its this crazy thing that lets you get pregnant wih anyone, and you can speed up, slow down and abort pregnancies, as well as chnging the gender and choosing wether you want twins or not. I can't remember what site I downloaded it from, but google it and you should find it.(ONCE ITS DOWNLOADED IT IS A ZIPPED FILE AND YOU WILL NEED TO UNZIP IT)

She must have been stinky at some point and the animation got stuck to her. I have this problem fairly often. You must reset the character by enabling testing cheats. I'm not sure of the exact cheat to type in but it's a common cheat and you should find it on here from someone. After typing the cheat Shift+click on the affected sim and click force error and reset.

Hi,

I'm not new to the Sims but I am new to this site and you guys really seem like you have all the answers. So here's a basic question:
How do you unlock/get the car and driveway on the Sims 2, or the Sims 2 Open for Business?

I know it's an easy question but I really don't know.

Hi,

I asked the same question on The Sims 2 website forum and I was told that you get cars with the Nightlife game. Like you I was upset so I went out and got the game, but don't get rid of Open for Business as once you get nightlife installed, you can build car yards and sell cars to people.

Have a look on The Sims 2 main website and they list many things you can do once you have both games.

I got the Sims 2 pets, and open for business and when I installed them all the walls on the game were blinking red and black. I tried unistalling them and everything but it doesn't work. Anybody know what to do?

Ohh...
That happened to me too. Do you happen to have the sims 1 on your computer?
If so Uninstall both games (1&2). Then re-install Sims2.(then OFB and Pets) Leave out sims1.That fixed mine.
But if you don't have sims 1, I suggest you try the sims2.com.

This happened to me too. Try entering a lot or rebouting(did I spell that right?) your pc. Or this might be a pc malfuncion(did I spell that right?).If so you might want to get an experts help.

It could be that your pc doesnt meet the game's requirements which will cause the game to not run correctly so you should see if it does.. It could just be that your graphics card cannot support the game.

I think Festive Holiday was released before Pets so it would have to be installed first.

Um I think holiday stuff is a mini pack, and not a real expansion pack. Once you install it you don't need the disc. If you try running it normally it will say you alredy installed it. You use pets to run holiday stuff

I have sims 2 and the pets one aswell I tried to install "festive holiday stuff" (i think in the u.s. It's holiday edition) and it says it's already installed but I can't find it can anyone help cheers

If it's the US edition and the rest of your games aren't then it won't work.

I have been using the Sims 2 for a few months now without any problems. Recently, the people I can call on the phone has been getting shorter and shorter.

My sim calls one of their friends then they can't call them again because they don't show up on the list anymore.

My sims are losing their friends because I can't call to talk or invite them over anymore because after one phone call they disappear.

Please help! Thanks.

If someone doesn't like your sim sometimes they disappear off the phone list.
Sucks I know.

That happened exactly to me, what I did was I started going on a differnt family for a few days and didn't go on the one which was losing friends then a few days later (in life) I went on and they were back.

We can't give you our serial numbers because of copyright laws... We would be breaking the law if we did so I don't think that you will get one on Supercheats.

It happened with my game. The code was illegible so we sent an e-mail to the help section and gor a new code.

The BoolProp testingCheatsEnabled true cheat does not work. I don't have any expansions installed (yet) can somebody give me the right spelling or tell me whats wrong?

You need to make sure that you spell correctly as it will only work when spelled correctly. The cheat is, "BoolProp Testingcheatsenabled true" (without the quotation marks)

P.S. For the best usage, enter the BoolProp cheat when at the neighbourhood view and not in a lot.

THis code can sometimes be annoying dosent always work you have to give it a few tries might help to do it in build mode

The cheat is: boolprop testingcheatsenabled true <--- I forget if true is glued
*when you enter it..when you hit enter you have to have you finger held on shift
And then you click on the person.

then you have a selection of grow up and some weird stuff. For another sim afterwards try holding shift maybe the code will still have effect...

It is a cheat. All you need to do is press Shift + Ctrl + C and then a menu will appear. Then type in "intprop censorgridsize 0" (without the inverted commas) and then the censors will be gone.

Does anyone know why I'm having problems with expansion packs. I tried to install Glamour Stuff which installs ok but then when you come to play it there is a blue windows error screen appears. I had to unintall it but in the meantime I lost my sims 2 game too. Someone has advised to back up, which I now have! But does anyone know of this problem and how to fix it?
