I'm merely looking for the dark temple keys. I know what rooms they are in, the names at least, but a map usually helps me out.
I do also realize that the dark and light aether are one and the same, though rooms tend to differ in small details.
I am looking for the room entitled "battle arena" or something of the like. I think it is beyond the double path, but hey, I'm trying to stay alive right?

The 3 Dark Agon Keys are located in the following 3 Dark Agon rooms:
- Doomed Entry
- Dark Agon Temple
- Battleground
You probably need the last one (Battleground). From Save Station 3 (or wherever you're at), head through the following rooms: Bitter Well, Phazon Site, Watering Hole, Feeding Pit (where you got the Light Beam), Feeding Pit Access, Doomed Entry (familiar?), go left to Double Path and to Battleground - now go get the Key! Oh wait, not that easy - hopefully you're full on ammo and health, you've got some Warrior Ing to destroy (about 6 I think). Use your newly obtained Light Beam and if you run out of ammo, shoot the Bladepods with your Dark Beam to recharge. Also, if you're trying to complete your Logbook, scan the Webtrap in front of a door during the battle - this is a one time shot.
Good luck bud - any other problems, just ask away =D

Hey, I'm generally pretty good at this gaming thing, but metroid prime has me royally messed up. Just one question though, is there a map station in the Dark Agon Wastes? Or do I have to go through every stinking room to figure out where the heck it is I'm supposed to go? Thanks in advance.

No, there isn't a Map Station for Dark Agon Wastes unfortunately, but Dark Agon Wastes is the same as (Light) Agon Wastes - just press Z to look at the map and Y to compare the Light and Dark worlds. Where are you stuck?

Sheiny,
After following your advice to another user about using the Sonic Boom on the Emperor Ing and just staying away from him, I finally beat him a couple of times. I have tried answering both 'Yes' and 'No' to whether I would like to save after the ending sequence. It seems that no matter which I answer when I restart the game, I still must fight the Emperor Ing again. I thought I would restart at the final battle with Dark Samus. I was never offered the opportunity to play in hard mode. Which should I answer, and where do I find the hard mode option?

Once you beat Dark Samus and the game, Hard Mode will be an option to pick from when you start a new File (Normal or Hard Mode); it's not something you can do in the same game - start a new File and choose Hard Mode! Good luck with that and congrats on beating the game MkirkC =D

Archiemundo,
I am sure Sheiny is just devasted by your brilliant insults. I have come to know/trust/rely on Sheiny. He has personally held my grubby little hand and led me to victory in MPE. Without his help many individuals with little more than the mush you attempt to maintain between your ears, not unlike myself, would be flummoxed by this difficult game. Please crawl back under your rock!

What are talking about Archimonde? What would you know about skills noob - you haven't even been here for a month and already you act like you know it all. Have you even actually answered a question yet and no, this poor excuse for a submission doesn't qualify.

Im saying this because all the answers I've seen you post are "*really*" and I mean **Really!!** good. Lol. Plus, with my experience ( 14 years of gaming )(last 10 on the internet) everyone who I said wasnt good at something always responded with calling me a [noob]. How do you get the energy tank in the agon mine shaft?
Added to Xvgn on: 20th Nov 2006 | ID number: 71466
|
|
|
First, get rid of all the Pillbugs! Now go back to where you came in (the top right) and quickly roll to the left over the sand block that falls apart when you touch it. Then a square platform will be above you - Double Bomb Jump to it and Bomb Jump to the ledge above that. From here, just follow the path around as fast as you can so you don't fall through (if you do, go back to the top right and repeat). When you get to a part where you can't see yourself, there will be some lines on that wall to guide you, follow them up the path with some more Bomb Jumps to get that Energy Tank. Hope that helps - good luck =D

If you mean his final form - use missiles on his 'heart' and stay as far away from him as you can. Once his heart goes purple or white, use the Annihilator Beam to fire a Sonic Boom at him - get right up in his face and fire the shot when he opens his mouth to make sure that you don't miss. Good Luck =D

Sheiny, where are the 3 Dark Torvus Bog temple keys, and how do you beatALL THE CHYKKA INCLUDING THE DARK CHYKKA?
Thanx
Added to Xvgn on: 4th Nov 2006 | ID number: 70413

|
|
Here's where the 3 Dark Torvus Keys are located:
1) Dark Torvus Bog - Dark Torvus Arena: Use the Boost Ball.
2) Dark Torvus Bog - Undertemple Access: Access via the Portal from Torvus Bog - Hydrodynamo Shaft.
3) Dark Torvus Bog - Venomous Pond: Use your Grapple Beam.
Alright, fighting Chykka this is a long battle, but not too difficult!
Chykka-Larva
All this whale does is swim around in a circle while sending some flying plants at you for the first bit, then it'll jump and try and splash you with the poisonous water - make sure to follow your radar here. Finally, it'll attack you face to face. Its weak points are the belly and the top/front of the head. When it jumps up, you can hit it with a Super Missile if you're ready and quick enough, so charge up your Power Beam and use the radar! When Larva comes onto the island you're on, use the Light Beam here to do some damage.
Chykka-Adult
Once you take the whale out, get ready for round two. Keep shooting, the more hits the better - if you're good enough, you can anticipate where it's going to be (all it does is bob and weave left to right) and hit it with charged up shots. Once you've hit it enough, it will be stunned - grapple around to it's backside and use the Seeker Missile Launcher to get all 4 wings! Sometimes it'll send out some little bugs that'll give you some health and ammo while you're trying to stun it. Now, it'll get possessed by the Ing - just target it's stinger and use the Light Beam on it. Repeat this process until it's history.
Good luck - you can do it =)

Apparently, Sheiny is otherwise occupied. I am not as good as he is, but I think I can answer your question. If you have turned in all 3 keys in Torvus Bog after defeating the Grapple Beam boss. Then, if you have transferred the energy from the dark Torvus Temple to the Light Torvus Temple, go to the Aether Main Temple and talk to U-Mos. He will give you the power to decode the last door that takes you to the GFMC Compound via the Sacred Path. At the Compound look on your map if necessary to find the entrance to the Sanctuary Fortress. It's on the west side of the ship. Decode the lock and enter for the best world yet!
Have fun and enjoy the many puzzles,
MkirkC

Once you beat Chykka. Go visit U-Mos in the Great Temple again - now use your Map (Z button) and head through the following rooms: Transport A Access to the Temple Grounds, Sacred Path and Sacred Bridge (use your Dark Visor and some Seeker Missiles here) to the GFMC Compound (there's a Missile Expansion on top of the ship) - Scan the Emerald Door to the left of the Ship and head through the Fortress Transport Access to the Sanctuary Fortress!

Where and how do you get the spider ball and power bomb?
Added to Xvgn on: 2nd Nov 2006 | ID number: 70301

|
|
Do you have the Grapple Beam yet? Once you have it, you'll be able to get the Spider Ball in the Sanctuary Fortress, then you can get the Power Bomb from the Torvus Bog.
The Grapple Beam is in the Dark Torvus Bog; you get it from the Grapple Guardian after you get the Gravity Boost from the Alpha Blogg...
From the Main Hydrochamber where you fight the Alpha Blogg, go to the Hydrochamber Shaft, through the Portal to the Undertemple Access - get the Dark Temple Key and go back through the Portal to the Hydrodynamo Shaft, then to the Catacombs, through the Portal to the Dungeon, then to the Undertransit Two, through the Sacrificial Chamber, the Undertransit One, the Crypt, the Undertemple Shaft and then to the Sacrificial Chamber where you fight for your long lost item!!!
Once you get the Grapple Beam, find the rest of the Dark Torvus Keys and fight the Torvus Bog Boss for the Dark Visor; now go to the Sanctuary Fortress and get the Spider Ball, then go back to the Torvus Bog and get the Power Bombs...
If you need more detail on getting the Spider Ball and/or the Power Bomb, just let me know =D

I am stuck in the mine shaft just beyond the Agon temple in the morph ball mode. I can't seem to get the double jump to work for me in the tunnel. In the original Metroid Prime I seem to remember that there was a demo on how to do this. Can anyone tell me where that is? Or can someone tell me how to achieve this double jump. There has to be some sort of sequence that I can practice.
Thanx

Hey Stan, what you do is:
Bomb #1 - lay your first Morph Ball Bomb
Bomb #2 - just before #1 detonates, lay your second one
Bomb #3 - at the top of the first jump, lay the third one and away you go
O = #3
:
O = #1 & #2
It sounds confusing, but it's not too hard once you figure it out!!!
Hope that helps ya - good luck =D

So after you get the bomb (for the morph ball.) you go to the energy controller and scan the hologram, and a figure that looks like U-mos, but isn't.His name is I-sha and will tell you about the DARK TEMPLE KEYS. And then you go to the place where you fight the three space pirates and go to the door that takes 2 jumps to get to. You'll fight 4 space pirates.2 light,2dark.then a bomb slot will activate.Activate the bomb slot and do a little puzzle. Then a dark gate will open. Pnce inside, go to the place that you origonally fought the space pirates. And then, the jump guardian will appear.

It's probably a Flying Ing Cache - if you shoot it with your Dark Visor on, it will go all bright - switch back to your Combat Visor, destroy it and then obtain the Sky Temple Key. There are 9 Sky Temple Keys and when you get them all, it'll give you access to the Sky Temple to fight the end boss!
