This question was never REALLY answered for me. When in the hidden mansion and you go into the astrall hall, the first door you enter into is normal, but as you continue on and enter through the second door, it's like you're going into the room you just left. Not to mention there's a funny sound when you enter into this second copy cat room. I need for someone to play it, then please come back and submit your answer. Thank you for your help.

Go out into the hallway again and go back in. Make sure you have fire and light all of the candles. Go into the next room and it will look much different. There will be a walkway to one of Mario's objects. I'm pretty sure it is his star but I haven't really played it in a while. I hope it helped.

I will repeat my previous answer. I have played the game, I have beaten it several times, and I know what I am talking about. You need to light all the candles in the room, exactly as you did the first time through, then beat the ghosts that appear. Until you do that, the door on the right will bring you back through the door on the left.

After you beat the first mansion, how do you get a rank A? Also when you are doing the mansion for a second time and go into the Astral Hall it's like you open the door to the same room twice and you hear a funny sound when you enter into the room, what does this mean?

1) If you beat the game with over 100,000,000 G of money, you'll be given an A Rank and Luigi's Mansion will be huge!
2) I'm guessing it just indicates that there's a puzzle to solve (lighting the candles), I'm not sure - I don't really remember the sound.

To get a rank A, you need over 100,000,000G.
The thing is the Astral Hall is the same as it was the first time. You need to light the fires and catch the ghosts to get into the Observatory.

I have a few questions it'd be great if you could answer them all!
1. Before I tell you the question I'm just saying I am not very far and can't get very far. Ok heres the question: You know the Foyer? You know the first room you enter in the mansion, well theres a mirror thats covered with a sheet, well I sucked the sheet off and pressed "Y" you know the little camera thingy. Yeah well it starts turning you around and has these blue dots? What do they do? And!!!! When I defeated the mom well I went back in her room and I used the camera (you know the "Y" button) and it did those blue dots again. BUT THIS TIME IT SENT ME BACK TO THE FOYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FREAKED OUT! WHY IS IT DOING THAT??? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mirrors in the game are a quick way back to the foyer (once you've uncovered the one in the foyer, like you already have). Its just a shortcut to avoid backtracking - t'aint that special.

It's like a teleporter - it does the same thing for every Mirror in the Mansion (sends you back the Foyer). It might not seem useful to you now, but it is helpful later on!

If you can find a mirror, use the GameBoy Horror on it to transport yourself back to the start of the Mansion. Uncle Grimmly is on the second floor in the Wardrobe Room - go up the stairs, enter the door in the middle and follow that path around until you get to the Wardrobe Room.
P.S Don't bother with the Ghosts, they'll never go away - so just keep running!

Hey this is a huge problem I found all 50 boos and there are 2 gold diamonds in the game the 1st one is that you have to water the plant in the boneyard (i can't remember what it was) 1st time in Area 2 2nd in Area 3 and 3rd in Area 4.
And theres 1 more and you need to capture all 50 boos and I dident get the 2nd gold diamond do I got a messed up game or somethin?

P.S. How many gold do you need to get a A rank mansion?
I only have a rank B mansion and it's way to hard to get a Rank A!

You do need to collect all 50 Boos in order to get the second gold diamond. I seriously doubt there is something wrong with your game. A more reasonable solution could be that when the diamond appeared it fell behind something and/or you never picked it up. However, if your game is messed up, you could attempt to return it and get another copy (unless of course you bought the game when it came out) and try playing that with the same memory card file. Or something could be wrong with the memory card file. It could possibly have an error in which the game thinks you've collected the diamond, but never adds it to your totals.
You need 100,000,000G for the A rank mansion.
(A hint on finding gold: I have found that in Area 4 or another area a long period after you clear the rooms, all the gold comes back, so you can reopen all the cabinets and stuff to get it all again. This is an easy way to get the A rank mansion.)

If you save after collecting the last Boo without taking the diamond, it will be gone for good...or at least until you erase and replay your gamefile.
Make sure you save after getting each Boo. But when you capture the last one, don't save the game. Then you can re-catch it if you mess up.

First, you have to get an Ice Elemental from one of the unicorn statues. Then, get the boss (Boolossus) caught in your vacuum. Then, drag him over to the unicorn statue so he pops. Then, freeze the Boos so they stop moving, then vacuum them in.

Boolossus is a pain - when he's in his big form, you have to continue circling the Unicorn Statue until he hops into the Unicorn's pointy horn and splits into 15 Boos. Now use Ice on the individual Boos to freeze and destroy them - do as many as you can, they'll join as one Boo shortly and you'll have to repeat the process.
P.S. The last 5 individual Boos are the hardest (this may take a while)!

You probably missed Sue Pea, in the Guest Room. The door is on the second floor, through the Sitting Room, but to get there, you must first go to the Roof. Remember when you got the key from the chimney on the left? Climb up the chimney on the right and drop down the hole. You will be in the Sealed Room, which is the boarded up room on the second floor. Collect the ghosts, treasure, and key to the Sitting Room, then pull the cover off the mirror and use the Game Boy Horror to search it. You will warp to the Foyer. From there, go back to the second floor. To get to the Sitting Room, go to the second floor, and go down (towards the screen) at the first intersection of paths. The Sitting Room is the only real door on the see-through wall. Catch the ghosts in the Sitting Room to move on to the Guest Room, where you can capture Sue Pea. If you already got that ghost, then could you please be more specific somehow? Such as a listing of all the gallery ghosts you have? (Hit Z and use the ghost section of the menu for a quick list of the ones you've caught.)
The Hidden Mansion is the same mansion as the regular mansion, except the ghosts are harder to catch, (more sensitive to the flashlight, etc.) but your vacuum has about one and a half times the power.

1) You might have missed Uncle Grimmly during the Blackout after you captured Boolossus; he was on the second floor in the Wardrobe Room (from the start - the entrance, where you started the game - go up the stairs on one of the sides and enter the door in the middle of the wall ahead of you and follow that path until you get to the room).
2) What door do you need a Key for? There's one in the Rec Room that not many people know about or get (you don't need it though) - just run on the Treadmill until the Key pops out!
3) The Hidden Mansion is unlocked once you beat the game for the first time and is exactly the same as the Mansion - it just lets you play the game over and over again; there are differences, but they are very subtle and not very noticeable; the Ghosts are harder to capture and the Vacuum sucks up the Ghosts faster (kind of contradictory).

Boos don't hide just under the tables. There are about 11 or so wooden barrels and the room, and any boo that I chase into that room including the one that starts in that room (Boo B. Hatch), always hides in the wooden barrels. Just train your vacuum over there, hit R and wait for the barrels to shudder and do that for each one. If that doesn't work than check the metal barrels and the table.

This isn't a boo, it's a 'money ghost'. You have to shake the table, then when the ghost pops up you have to flash & vac him really quick or he'll get away. If you get him though, he'll throw out a bunch of cash as he goes in the vacuum.

I have already beaten the first mansion. Now, on Proffesor Gadds menu it has THE MANSION and THE HIDDEN MANSION. I have gone to both mansions and they still look the same. What are the differences between the two mansions?

In the Hidden Mansion, the ghosts are faster, get away faster, more sensitive to the light so they disappear faster, have to be closer to them so they don't disappear, etc., but you vacuum has 1.5 times the suction power. For example, while a regular mansion battle with Neville (the first gallery ghost) may take around twelve and a half seconds if you do it correctly, in the Hidden Mansion it may take only five and a half.
